Glamour Kills (Me)

Over the past 2 / 3 years Glamour Kills was everywhere, at least in the USA. Flip through any magazine and you can find music, advertising and photographic services as they are, not to mention the groups who choose to wear it. On the fifth birthday, mark Mark Capicotto (whose origins can perhaps imagine) is what has won more shops and public, after the long ascent of Famous Stars and Straps, with numerous collaborations (PETA, the line Overnight Session with Gabe Saporta of Cobra Starship ...) and with a respectable roster of musical and very contemporary.

My vote personally goes to Polar Bear Club , which in family page of the site are in the company of All Time Low, Four Year Strong, Silverstein, A Day To Remember, Hit The Lights, Gwen Stacy, and a handful of other names. Also a small skate team, and also Rob Dyer with his project Skate 4 Cancer , passed in Italy a few months ago with the Billy Talent tour / Silverstein.

90% Made in the USA by American Apparel material , Glamour Kills has always been characterized by rather showy and colorful graphics, large and imaginative; Capicotto is responsible for many of the same design, but with the growth of the name had to find colleagues really capable ( Greg Abbott, Derek Deal ...).

With one foot in the 80's, and an underground following in all cultures, has distinguished itself for having given a shot of color all'apparel-derived music and helping to define a style now finds a massacre of imitators.
